NVIDIA® AI/DL Embedded Laboratory
We have developed Industry associated “NVIDIA® AI/DL Embedded Laboratory” at our department. CSE (AI&ML) program has received an award of 5 NVIDIA Jetson Nano Developer Kits of the cost of rupees 1.03 Lakhs to develop the lab.
The laboratory is setup with the primary goal to solve real-time problems by developing various projects using state-of-the-art NVIDIA technologies. The objectives of laboratory are:
1. To encourage students to utilize the NVIDIA Jetson kits in the
implementation of
their academic projects.
2. To learn and use state-of-the-art technologies of NVIDIA in their course
or project
implementations.
3. To form AI student club at department in order to enhance NVIDIA specific
technical
skills.
4. To support multidisciplinary projects by providing access to PCCOE
students to
utilize the facilities available at NVIDIA lab.
We have planned the roadmap for realization of lab goals with our active participation and involvement through - Jetson based AI research projects, conduction of NVIDIA expert’s sessions, specialized certifications (Jetson AI specialist, Jetson AI Ambassador), NVIDIA specific displays, inclusion of contents related to NVIDIA technology in our curriculum, etc.

About academic projects on NVIDIA Jetson Nano Kits
NVIDIA Jetson Nano Developer Kit is ideal for teaching, learning, and developing AI and robotics. It delivers incredible AI performance at a low price. Hence, our second-year students are encouraged to utilize it for their project development. Jetson Nano Kit features a quad-core CPU, 128 CUDA cores, and supports popular AI frameworks. This combination provides a balance between high-performance computing and energy efficiency, making it well-suited for edge AI applications. It comes with various ports and connectivity options, including USB, Ethernet, and HDMI, allowing users to connect peripherals and sensors for their projects.
Project on “Advanced Safety Assistance System For Autonomous Vehicles” | Academic Year : 2023 -24
Project Team : Soham Narsale, Sana Sampson, Ashirwad Kankaria, Sayali Jadhao , Dr Sonal Gore
Advanced Safety Assistance System For Autonomous Vehicles project is a comprehensive initiative aimed at improving vehicle safety, comfort, and driving experience through the integration and enhancement of cutting-edge ADAS technologies. ADAS systems utilize sensors, cameras, radar, and software to provide real-time data and assist drivers in making safer and more informed decisions while on the road.
Project on “ParSight – Resume Analyzer and Job Recommendation Tool” | Academic Year : 2022 -23
Project Team: Parth Singhal, Soham Narsale, Shreeraj Patil, Piyush Agarwal, Dr Sonal Gore
ParSight is a resume analyzer and job recommendation tool designed to extract relevant information from resumes, such as skills and candidate's essential information and provide job recommendations based on the extracted skills. The project utilizes various techniques such as Natural Language Processing (NLP), TF-IDF and Cosine Similarity to achieve this functionality. The project work is in progress. Suitable NLP techniques and deep learning models are being implemented using Jetson kits.
Project on “Store Navigation Application using Voice Assistant” | Academic Year : 2022 -23
Project Team: Sana Sampson, Tushar Mahajan, Jivan Karande, Sayali Jadhao, Prof Shailaja Pede
The store navigation application provides the customer with the shortest path encompassing all the items in the customer's list, which finally leads to the billing counter. The goal is to create an effective shopping experience without the hassle of having to search for each item. It also comes with a voice assistant feature for visually impaired people. The project work is in progress. Suitable deep learning models are being implemented using Jetson kits.
